While talking to many business owners in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles, a large amount of companies are barely hanging on and certainly struggling. The standard modes of marketing are not working as well as they did in the past. Networking groups, though social, yield minimal results.
I was recently asked by a couple of members of a group that meets monthly, and whose title describes business owners succeeding in business, why I chose to attend that particular meeting. Most of the business owners were barely hanging on and the $20 meeting price was all they could afford. Hmmm. The thought of investing a large amount of cash to attain a lifetime membership in CEOSpace was much more than they could possibly fathom. And yet, they continue to spend money on marketing methods that bring little to no results.
When you average the cost spent on advertising or networking that does not work, a lifetime of forums, in which cooperative and non competitive networking is incorporated, life long relationships are developed, support, resources and valuable connections are available, it makes perfect sense.
It is hard to imagine unless you have actually attended.
At our last forum in December, over 2000 business owners attended despite the recession and the fact that the forum took place on top of the holiday season. Business took place from dawn until the wee hours of the evening, while other business owners were tucked snug into bed, wondering how they were going to pay their bills next month.
Top mentors and coaches were intermingling with the membership. They were not simply on stage and then on a plane to another destination. A San Fernando valley member, Joseph Frank of Zrii, was impressed when renown speaker Les Brown, tried his product, purchased some, and then gave the member some free coaching.
The membership, as well as all the CEOSpace Club Presidents, were treated to training by Alex Mandossian, internet marketing guru. Alex also walked among the membership, doing private coaching sessions, and getting to know individual members. He would normally charge 7 digits for this type of coaching. He was joined by 40 other equally successful mentor-trainers.
Many WINS were reported during the December Forum, and multi millions of dollars were raised, in capital for members at that stage in their businesses.
